The original name of aburatorigami is from the uchigami used for making gold leaf. Gold leaf is made by being pounded so many times between uchigamis.
Uchigami is made of washi, a Japanese paper made from paper bush, and its long fibers are broken by pounding so many times.
Finally, it becomes aburatorigami that absorbs extra oil quickly from the face without damaging original makeup.
Aburatorigami is a popular and common item among Maiko and Geiko.
