Konkaikomyoji Temple is the first temple of Johdo sect that was founded by Honen(1133-1212) in 1175. In Johdo sect, Honen proclaimed his new Pure Land teachings under which people could go up to the Pure Land after their death by reciting “Namu Amidabutsu”, “Please Amida Buddha”.
