Joshokoji (YouTube)Temple located in Keihoku area is one of my favorite temples in Kyoto. The atmosphere around it is calm and quiet except the time of cherry blossoms. It takes about one hour from the center of Kyoto City.
Different from other major temples, you can look closer at everything belonging to this temple as much as you like.
The path leading to the mausoleum of the founder of this temple, Kougon pape, is covered with green moss. I’ve never seen such a beautiful green path like this before.
