Wisteria in Byodo-in

The wisterias are in full bloom.
I actually went to Byodo-in Temple in Uji on the impulse to take photos of the carpenter bees with fluffy yellow hairs on their backs that visit the wisteria trellis. Four years ago, there seemed to be an equal mix of Japanese carpenter bees and the invasive Taiwan carpenter bees, but today there was not a single Japanese carpenter bee to be found.
