Lotus Sake Event

This event is held at Mimurotoji Temple located in Uji City in July.
Drinking Sake by using a lotus leaf is said grants us a good health even during hot summer days.
When I am looking at lotus buds and flowers, I feel like to understand that lotus is a sacred plant, and its flower is believed to be a symbol of enlightenment in the Buddhism world.
