We went to see annual “Kaomise Kogyo Kabuki Performance” at Minamiza kabuki theater in Kyoto. According to the pandemic, the number of performance sessions has increased from 2 to 3, and the duration of each session has been shortened. We watched two performances of “Fuin-giri, breaking a seal of money not his” and “Matsuura no Taiko, a battle sign of a drum”.Both were easy to understand for me if I wasn’t a connoisseur of kabuki because their lines were easy to understand.
