Hamagurigomon Gate
Hamaguri-gomon is one of the entrance gates of Gosho, the old Imperial Palace, located at the western side of the premises of Gosho. Hamaguri means a clam that opens its shell when heated. Hamaguri-gomon was named after it was opened only when a fire broke out around Gosho. On the surface of the door and the pillars, we can identify many bullet marks that were made during the battle of Kinmon-no-hen.
