Kyoto City Museum of Art

Kyoto City Museum of Art is originally built in 1933. It is considered as the oldest existing public museum in Japan.
Venus de Milo and Tutankhamun’s golden mask came here in 1964 and 1965 respectively.

In 2016, Kyoto City sold the naming right to Kyocera for 5 billion yen for its large-scale renovation and it was renamed as “Kyoto City KYOCERA museum of Art”.
